Gratitude through Covid-19
GRATITUDE.
Have you expressed gratitude today? Certainly there is something to be thankful for. Maybe you have to look hard for it. Maybe it’s the little things. But guaranteed, it’s there. GRATITUDE is something that we are trying to show up everyday with. Don’t get me wrong - it has NOT been easy this past week but everyday we find something to be thankful for. We are extremely thankful that we are a small business who can still operate during this time – even in the little capacity that we can. We are thankful that we have an understanding staff that knows why we have to currently downsize. You know what we are the most thankful for? YOU. Our community. Our friends and family. All of those of you who have ordered take out from us over the past week. Those who have reached out in a message or text to see how we are holding up. It’s truly been incredible.
The best part of our business has always been the memories and connections that we have been able to facilitate in our Taproom & Pub. We have seen first dates, birthday celebrations, old friends reuniting, and so much more. The news of not being able to host you any longer was devastating for us. (We 100% understand WHY we have to have Social Distancing, but that doesn't mean we can’t be disappointed) We’ve tried to build an ambiance and experience for you. Would you still want us if it came in a plastic container and was at home? We’ve been your escape for so long. What happens now?
Well, this past week we learned what happens. You have still come out to support this small business of ours. It might be through curbside pick up, but you still do it. You still are creating memories over food and beer with your family – now it’s just at home. I’m in tears as a type this because I am overwhelmed with the love and support our community has for us and so many other businesses like ours. I cannot express to you how happy my heart is to see the tags and the posts #QuartinedWithLuke of you making the most out of this pandemic.
So THANK YOU. Thank you for being on this journey with us. We will continue to provide you with food + beer to bring joy into your home for as long as you want it. Be sure to find things to be thankful for. I promise it will help you get through these times like it has helped us.
Stay safe, friends.
Sincerely,
Sam
