Luke's Original
In 2019, our Luke’s Original - American Blonde beer was awarded Bronze at the Great American Beer Festival. It is an accolade we are extremely proud of!
A fun fact and history about this beer - many of you will remember that this American Blonde used to be called Scrivener. It was one of the very first beers we opened our doors with and since the very beginning has been one of your favorites! It’s light, refreshing, and a great easy drinking beer. In the taproom and pub, it is hands down our number one seller because of how approachable and balanced it is. So why change the name of a fan fave? NOBODY COULD PRONOUNCE IT! Ha! We would get “screwdriver”, “Sriiiivener”, “scrivenger”, “scavenger”, amongst many others. We knew this was a problem but didn’t want to change this beer on you. The easy solution was a re-brand of your favorite. What better name than Luke’s Original? We started the design process for cans and worked up re-release dates. In the midst of that came the Great American Beer Festival. We submitted this beer as Luke’s Original knowing the intent of the changes to come. THEN WE WON! And all of those changes had to happen much quicker than we had currently planned on!
