Lucky Luke Cinnamon Rolls

If you have visited the AV Fairgrounds at any of their annual events the past few years you may have seen a Lucky Luke booth with CINNAMON ROLLS.

Yes, fresh baked cinnamon rolls made from scratch with lots of love just outside of the Van Dam building next to the main entrance.

“But, WHY are you making cinnamon rolls if you are known for beer & burgers??” is a question that may be ruminating in your head right now. A few years back when the Fair changed the date for their annual event, we heard they were looking for a cinnamon roll vendor. With a full time talented pastry chef and experience in baking on our team - we thought, well WE could make cinnamon rolls! And so it began.

But because of our burger background, we knew we couldn’t JUST do sweet treats. So we added a cinnamon roll burger to the menu too. Yes, it is a burger that has a cinnamon roll as the bun with a smear of cream cheese frosting, bacon bits, and a fried egg to boot. And it’s quite a treat.

We love when food can be a memorable experience. I distinctively remember my first fried frog legs in St Louis, having foi gras with cotton candy (so weird but so delicious) or when we cooked bacon wrapped hot dogs and used doughnuts as the bun. There’s a story for each of these and that is the memorable experience we are going for with Cinnamon Roll burgers.

Growing up, the fair was one of the only places I would see wild and crazy foods. Fried Oreos? yes please! Butter on a stick? Weird, but let me try it! Corn dogs bigger than my head? Say less.

While, culinary expression and popularity of these things have grown, for many, the memories of these types of food still live at the fair.

That is our goal with our Cinnamon Roll booth. If you are adventurous enough to try the burger, maybe it’s a fun conversation starter at your office the next day. If your a simpler soul and just like a good old fashioned cinnamon roll with creamy cream cheese frosting, we got you covered there too. We hope to be your sweet treat on your way out of the gates. Or simply let us warm you up with a hot cup of coffee while your kids spend every last minute on the zipper.

We live for these memories with you. And that is why we sell Cinnamon Rolls at the fair.

Please be sure you come by our booth, even if just to say hi. We look forward to seeing you!

XO
