Tour de Luke - Charity Bike Ride
What’s better than bikes and beer?!
Maybe an event that encompasses both but also gives back to a local non-profit! We have teamed up with the City of Lancaster and are hosting a 14.2 community bike ride that will benefit Resurrection Cycles.
Saturday, July 17th at 7:30am. You can register HERE.
Three different options available for you to ride with us:
Charity Ride - $30, includes one free beer after the event
VIP Ride - $50, includes one free beer after the event, limited edition event t-shirt, water bottle, and 20% off at the Lancaster Lucky Luke after the ride is over.
Free Ride - Just want to ride?! You can do that too. Pre-registration is still highly recommended so that we can anticipate what kind of crowd to accommodate.
We chose Resurrection Cycles as the beneficiary for this community event because they recently just became our neighbors on The Blvd. We’ve had the opportunity to get to know the founders and they are fantastic people with a true vision to help our community. Their mission is to change lives by providing the tools to get people working and the wheels to get there. They offer low-cost bike repairs to those in need of help with affordable transportation. Plus, they are promoting an active lifestyle.
The day of the event, riders will arrive early for registration. At 7:30am we will reiterate the path and answer any questions they may have, then off everyone will go! Half way point will be at the Luke Luke Brewing Tasting Room in Palmdale off of avenue O. Quick water break and some air conditioning will be much welcomed. Then everyone will hit the road again for the trip back. Once riders return to Lancaster Blvd, Squeaky Wheal bike shop will have a booth of goodies on sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Resurrection Cycles. A bucket raffle will also be on display for your chance to win baskets from other Blvd businesses! Want to donate (you don’t have to be on the blvd!), please email samantha@luckylukebrewing.com to make arrangements and participate in this event.
Tour de Luke has been made possible by the team working on the City of Lancaster’s SEE AND BE SEEN Active Transportation and Healthy Living Program.
A special thank you to many of our community partners that are helping put on this event! The Squeaky Wheel Bike Shop is volunteering their expertise and will be assisting with bike tune ups and helping ensure rider safety. The local Team Lakays Cycling will also provide course and rider assistance. AVTA will be at our midway point at the Palmdale location offering water and reprieve from the heat for the riders. Both the City of Lancaster and City of Palmdale will be assisting with traffic control and course support for cyclists. We will have drone footage available of the event thanks to Air Reel Drone Services. Our merchandise for the VIP riders is partially sponsored by APG in order to ensure a larger registration donation to Resurrection Cycles.
