In Loving Memory of Casie

We have an incredibly special beer release THIS Friday, 9/25. “Casie” is a Strawberry Gose that has a whole lot of meaning behind it.

The name…. Casie was one of our employees back in 2017. She had been working in the beer industry for a few years before that. Her goals were to get more involved in the brewing and behind the scenes process. She split her time with us between the brewery and the front of house serving beers. She had a consistent group of regulars and brought joy wherever she was. Then suddenly everything changed and she was in a terrible car accident. Casie endured a spinal cord injury and life was never the same. She lost her fight 1 year ago and had a special request for a beer to be named after her.

Together with her family, we brewed this Strawberry Gose. (Yes, this is her mom graining out in Casie’s pink boots!!!)

The beer…. This Strawberry Gose is light, playful, and refreshing. The exact same way so many would explain Casie! It is moderately tart with notes of sea salt and a pleasant fruit balance.

September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness. Casie and her family got so much out of the Triumph Foundation which is an incredible non-profit that helps individuals with spinal cord injury to triumph over their disability and inspire them to strive to get better every day. For every bottle of Casie that we sell at our Lancaster Pub, we will donate $1 to this foundation.

Friday 9/25/20, is the one year anniversary of her passing. Her family has requested that anyone looking to celebrate her, release a yellow balloon at some point this weekend. Please share your photos or video, add #casielynn and tag her mom Vanessa Ferree.

We know she’s resting in paradise, watching down on us as we cheers to her and all of the memories we’ve made together.
