2018 – Year in Review

By Samantha Schmitz in Blog on December 28, 2018

Hey 2018, adios, ciao, sayonara, bye Felicia, farewell… I think you get our drift. While 2018 was a great year for beer, we are just super stoked for whats to come.

BUT FIRST!
I guess we should give 2018 the respect it deserves. You guys really did make this year great. Here were a few of our favorite moments….

  • STRUNG OUT beer collaboration! This is easily the top of our list. We have always been huge fans of the band and this friendship and collaboration took on a life of its own! Not only did we have a blast working with them on the Astrolux Golden Ale, it’s delicious.

BEER – We are a brewery so naturally beer has got to be the majority of our highlights, right? This year we introduced you to the Single Hop Adventure Series. Bringing you a different single hop beer at any given time. We love this series because we hope that it helps you explore hop flavors more and identify your favorites.  For our 3 year anniversary we released Deadman Creek, Phantom Falls, and Brettanoversary 3. All of which we were so proud of and hoped you enjoy as much as we have. This year also saw new releases like Layla (Blackberry Sour), Goviya (Cinnamon Stout), and El Lenador (Mexican Lager) just to name some of our faves. We also brought back some of your faves – Impresario (double IPA), Mortician (Black IPA), Tillman (Tart Saison).

#LuckyLukeFam – We’ve been featuring different employees on our Instagram so that you can get to know them better. These are the faces behind the beer. Their passion and love for this community is what helps drive us. We are so thankful to have them this year. Each person on our team brings such a unique perspective and ideas!

  • PUB – We announced the opening of our Brewpub on Lancaster Blvd. While we are still in the thick of construction, licenses, remodeling, etc, the support and excitement we have received so far has given us all the feels. Keep your eyes out for the opening date early 2019.

….Which leads us right into what you can expect from us this coming year. We are so excited to have a second location that will also serve food. Our new executive Chef Natalie has already come up with some delicious yet simple menu items that we really think you guys will enjoy. Expect to also see some beer & dinner pairing events.

Other things to be on the look out for:

  • We’ve purchased a CANNING LINE! So a variety of our specialty beers available in cans in 2019

  • Our anniversary beers will soon be available in bottles

  • A larger online store and new website

  • Great weekly events like Tuesday Trivia with Tim & Vinyl Night Wednesday

  • More weekend events happening in our taproom (and new food trucks!)

We are growing our team and this beer. Thank you for being on this journey with us. Cheers to more beer and more memories together in 2019!

Best,

Samantha & Brian
